The holiday island of Koh Samet is about 25km away by car to the ferry, but only about 20 minutes or so by speedboat or jet ski, as is the beautiful island of Koh Talu with its “castaway” beach, good coral reef and archway of rock through which it is possible to swim amongst the shoals of fish taking shelter in the calm waters below. The nearby Koh Man islands, the first of which is home to a sea turtle breeding sanctuary, have clear waters with a coral reef and abundant marine life.

The beach resort of Mae Phim has an excellent beach with restaurants, bars and delicious Thai seafood just a few yards from the property, and Bangkok and the International Airport are within easy reach in around 2 hours drive. The holiday island of Koh Samet is about 15km away by car, but only about 15 minutes or so by speedboat or jet ski. The nearby Koh Man islands, the first of which is home to a sea turtle breeding sanctuary, have clear waters with a coral reef and abundant marine life, and the beautiful island of Koh Talu with it’s arch of Rock, coral reef and fine white sand beach is just 10 minutes directly offshore from Phuphatara’s beach. Exploring the coast and islands offshore and around Koh Samet by motor boat, or fishing and diving are available locally for those who enjoy the ocean.
