New 7-Eleven shop opens in Mae Phim, Rayong, Thailand

The PTT petrol station in Mae Phim has been totally gutted and re-furbished with new pumps, toilets, etc, and a brand new 7-Eleven shop has been built on site. The next nearest 7-Eleven shop is the one in Klaeng town, some 15 kilometers away.

The new 7-Eleven shop opened on 26th October 2009 and is strategically located between Mae Phim Beach and Kram, at the start of the new coastal highway and cycleway which will eventually run all the way from Mae Phim to Trat and is due to be completed in 2012/2013.

The opening of a 7-Eleven shop in the area is another example of how Mae Phim and the surrounding area are continuing to increase in popularity with both Thais and foreigners, which is helping Thailand’s Golden Coast to buck the trend in the global housing market.
