Located in the jewel of what is becoming known as Thailand’s Golden Coast, Rock Garden Beach properties are located on a private estate of some 250 Rai (100 acres) of land which is adjacent to the ocean. The resort and estate has extensive park/gardens with a variety of paved paths ideal for strolling, jogging or cycling with views of the lake and sea.
Set amidst the tropical gardens is the main reception, clubhouse, restaurant and main swimming pool, which is 50 meters in length – great for swimming lengths in the morning. The main swimming pool has a shallow end, paddling pool, artificial beach and water slide for children, plus an island with shaded bar stools both outside and inside the water – the perfect spot for pool parties!
Adjacent to the main pool is a small beach, and the shallow waters offshore and typical cross-onshore breeze make it a perfect location for kitesurfing. On some years at Songkran Festival time (April) there is a kite flying festival held here where you can see kites with tails that extend for hundreds of meters into the air.
The estate and the park/gardens have a variety of palms, shrubs and bird life, and astounding rock features are set amidst the tranquil surroundings. The rocks alone cost 45 million baht and were transported some 400km or so from Kanchanaburi province. In addition to the natural rocks there are a number of bronze and stone statues in tribute to the famous Thai poet Sunthonphu, who was born in the area.
The estate also has it’s own private slipway with adjoining car park which owners can use to launch their boat or jet ski. However, a number of the properties back on to the tidal canal system which affords the owners the option to establish their own private mooring at the end of the garden, an advantage rarely found with private housing developments Thailand, and one which provides the properties with open views across and along the expanse of water.
The nearby Laem Mae Phim has an excellent beach, almost 4km in length, and to the eastern end a variety of hotel and resort accommodation and bar restaurants serving western food and delicious Thai seafood. Further along the beach to the west there are several beach restaurants offering shaded seating on the sand and excellent value for money Thai food seafood and drinks.
There are excellent road and motorway connections with the New International Airport being just under 2 hours away, and the heart of Bangkok just over 2 hours by car. The busy holiday resort of Pattaya is about 1 hour and a half away via Rayong, which is about 45 minutes by car, and the holiday island of Koh Samet is about 27km down the coast by car, plus a ferry ride, or just 20 minutes or so by speedboat or jet ski from your own mooring or Rock Garden’s own slipway.
Existing properties on Rock Garden Beach resort and estate still represent great value for money and a sound investment for the future, and with the continuing development of the Laem Mae Phim area and in particular the planned developments for Rock Garden Beach surely to proceed at some point in the not too distant future, there is tremendous upside for the capital growth of your property investment.
